Late on Monday night, a local BJP leader was fatally shot near his residence in Brahmapur, Odisha. According to initial police reports, the shooting occurred outside his home in Brahmanagar around 10 PM, where two assailants on a motorcycle opened fire on him. He was rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Brahmapur, but doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
